This is how our Monoï story began.... Monoï oil is traditionally made at home in French Polynesia and also sold at the famous "Marché" (market) in the heart of the capital Papeete. Often in "recycled" whiskey bottles.
I (Petra, founder of Anakena) brought some of these to Easter Island, bottled them in the small bottles you see in the photo, and sold them in my eco-shop in the village square of Hanga Roa (the only place on the island).
Today I am happy and proud to have found a professional manufacturer in Tahiti with ECOCERT certification who sells me the Monoï de Tahiti for our natural cosmetics brand ANAKENA with the designation of origin "Appellation d'Origine" and I can offer you this wonderful 100% original product as the first COSMOS certified company in Germany.
