This is a photo of my first soap making on Easter Island in May 2007.
At that time, I still wanted to call the brand "Rapa Nui Cosmetics". Rapa Nui is the indigenous name of Easter Island. The patenting was rejected, which I found quite disappointing at the time and even lodged an objection.
A short time later came the idea for the brand name "Anakena", which I then successfully registered in Chile, Europe and later in the USA. Today I am glad that it became ANAKENA.
The molds for this soap are madeleine silicone molds originally for pastry making, but they also work wonderfully for soap making (of course, don't use them for food afterwards).
A beautiful reminder of the hours of birth of our cosmetic brand.
